Thank you , yes, Fantasticly facinating atea of study. You might like my piece on Assistance dogs I dont think i wrnt into mych detail biologicaly but co regulation and the effects they have on our nervous system especially trained psychiatric assistance dogs is profound.
They are mixed. Bramble is half Cocker Spaniel n takes most of her genes from there her father was a small bright fox red lab cross. Doughnuts mum is a Cane Corso but his dad lookes like Bramble again mostly cocker spaniel with some terriers a few generations back. I think of Bramble as a short gaired smoith coated Cocker spaniel & Doughnuts a miniature Itallian Mastiff (or a meatball terrier 🤣). Rockstar was half bull mastiff and half Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Such a great post!!! Thanks Phillippa! I have learnt a lot. I have been looking recently onto different thing about dogs - our nervous system and their help to us: https://embracechange.substack.com/p/18-hours-of-sleep-mastery?r=22wmcg&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

I liked the article you shared.
Very interesting! Out of curiosity, what breeds are Bramble and Doughnut? If you mentioned it, I missed it!

I enjoyed this very much and believe what you say: so much is context!
